About RVR&O
Rare Vintage Rickenbackers & Others is a private collection and reference archive dedicated to documenting vintage Rickenbacker guitars, basses, and amplifiers — alongside a selection of other rare instruments that have passed through the collection over the years.
The collection spans decades of Rickenbacker production, with a particular focus on Hall era (1954–current) instruments, rare colorways, export models, and the unusual variants that don't show up in standard reference books. The goal has always been documentation as much as acquisition — preserving the history of these instruments for future players and collectors.
The Masterclass
The Masterclass Curriculum is a deep-dive reference guide covering Rickenbacker history, model identification, dating techniques, hardware evolution, and buying guidance. It draws on decades of hands-on experience with hundreds of instruments.
Market Watch
The Market Watch tool tracks real sale prices across models, conditions, and decades — a useful reference for buyers, sellers, and insurance appraisals. It's powered by curated sales data and updated periodically.
