Rickenbacker Midnight Blue

Midnight Blue is one of Rickenbacker’s most enduring modern finishes. Its deep navy-blue color, often accented by a subtle metallic sheen, gives instruments a sleek and sophisticated appearance. Introduced in the 1980s, Midnight Blue has remained a regular part of the Rickenbacker palette ever since. The high-gloss finish adds depth to the color and highlights the contours of the company’s guitars and basses. The shade has varied slightly over the years. Early examples sometimes appeared brighter or more “electric” blue, while later versions can range from very dark—almost black—to lighter navy tones depending on the production period.
